Jenner Family Beef is the direct-to-consumer branch of Jenner Cattle Company, a family-owned and operated cattle ranch in continuous operation since 1872. Now into its sixth generation, the ranch raises Angus cattle born, raised, and finished in Siskiyou County, California, roaming thousands of acres of pasture. We sell our beef in bulk shares, bundled beef boxes, and ground beef boxes, so customers can fill a freezer with beef raised by people they know. Three generations work the ranch side by side, handling every task themselves, with no hired hands. Our Angus beef is Certified 100% Natural, meaning our cattle are never fed animal by-products, never given added hormones, and never treated with antibiotics. Cattle spend their lives on pasture, then in the final months before processing we supplement their diet with free-choice, homegrown, chopped barley, which contributes to marbling, tenderness, and flavor. One hundred percent of the hay and grain we feed is grown and harvested on our own land. We replant native pasture grasses using saved seed, rotate crops to maintain healthy soil, and use modern irrigation systems to conserve water. The ranch also maintains a natural preserve that has been in place for over 100 years, where waterfowl and wildlife share open space with the herd.
