Common Good Farm

Common Good Farm holds both USDA certified organic and Demeter certified Biodynamic certifications. The farm uses Biodynamic and organic seeds when available, with a focus on open-pollinated and heirloom varieties and limited use of hybrids. Laying hens are pastured on certified Biodynamic pastures in moveable houses rotated across the land with portable fencing; forage makes up roughly 30 percent of their diet. The farm grinds its own custom organic chicken ration on-site, using certified organic grains sourced from other Nebraska organic farmers. Cattle are a Jersey/Hereford cross raised 100% grass-fed and grazed on certified organic pasture, with no hormones, antibiotics, or GMO feed ever given. Hogs are farrowed on pasture and kept on certified organic/Biodynamic ground, fed a certified organic grain ration mixed on the farm and supplemented with vegetable scraps from the farm's own Biodynamic fields.
