Overview
Women-owned farm box CSA aggregating produce, meat, dairy, and grocery items from 100+ Maine farms and food producers.
Daybreak Growers Alliance is a women-owned, farmer-driven distribution business that brings together more than 100 Maine farms and independently owned food producers under one alliance. We aggregate, market, and distribute a diverse set of products so subscribers receive a wide variety of Maine-grown and made items in a single weekly delivery. Subscribers can choose between the customizable Daybreak Box, which lets you select your own seasonal produce, meat, dairy, and specialty grocery items, or the Farmers' Choice box, where our growers curate the selection for you. Box sizes and price tiers are available to suit different household needs. We also offer wholesale delivery for business customers. SNAP EBT is accepted for eligible items, and Farm Fresh Rewards provides a 50% discount on local fresh fruits and vegetables purchased with EBT. Learn more on their About Page.
With very few exceptions, all produce offered through Daybreak is certified organic. Our network of farm partners includes many certified organic producers across Maine, spanning vegetables, fruit, grains, meat, dairy, and value-added specialty foods. Meat options from partner farms include grass-fed beef, pastured pork, and pasture-raised non-GMO eggs, as stated by individual farm partners. Add-on subscriptions include free-range eggs from Nature's Hen House, certified organic yogurt from The Milkhouse, certified organic tofu from Heiwa Tofu, and locally grown mushrooms from Wild Fruitings. We work to keep local and organic food available to subscribers year-round, from peak-season produce to pantry staples.
