Certified organic CSA farm offering weekly vegetable shares, flowers, and seedlings.
House in the Woods is a certified organic Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farm run by Phil and Ilene Freedman. The farm began its CSA program in 2000 and offers members a weekly share of the harvest. Membership goes beyond vegetables: members can pick flowers for their table, enjoy u-pick rows, and visit throughout the season to watch crops grow from planting to harvest. The farm also offers organic heirloom seedlings to home gardeners each spring, limited wholesale produce, and farm experiences including tours and classes by request. Phil and Ilene started the CSA to combine market-garden farming with hands-on environmental education for all ages. Learn more on their About Page.
House in the Woods Farm is certified organic. The farm grows vegetables, herbs, flowers, and greenhouse crops, and members pick up produce on-farm directly from the fields. The CSA model means members subscribe to a share of the harvest and are invited to participate in seasonal activities such as garlic planting and potato harvesting. The farm also sells organic heirloom seedlings and limited wholesale produce.
