Certified organic vegetable CSA farm serving the Baltimore area with weekly shares and add-on options.
Oak Spring Farm grows certified organic vegetables in Freeland, Maryland for CSA members across Baltimore City and the surrounding counties. The farm was founded by Lisa Duff and is now run by farmers Erika Roan and Adam Mihalik, who continue its work with a focus on flavor and consistency. Members choose a small, medium, or large weekly vegetable share and can add on pasture-raised eggs, local cheese, fresh sourdough, local fruit, and local pastured meats. Shares are fully customizable: members rank their vegetable preferences and can swap or add items each week through an online platform. Pickup is available at multiple locations across Baltimore County and Baltimore City on Tuesdays and Saturdays, with home delivery also offered. Learn more on their About Page.
Oak Spring Farm has held USDA Certified Organic status since 2013. In 2020, the farm was invited to join the Real Organic Project, an add-on certification for Certified Organic farms that it describes as a point of pride. The farm grows a wide range of heirloom and specialty vegetables, plus some fruit, harvested at the right time and handled with care. Adam Mihalik focuses on field layout, equipment, and soil health, while Erika Roan manages irrigation, greenhouse production, and the packing shed. The farm operates without a middleman, connecting its harvest directly to CSA members each week.
