Fast-casual taco restaurant serving globally inspired tacos, bowls, and Kick Ass Margaritas

Velvet Taco is a fast-casual taco concept founded on the idea that tacos don't have to be associated with Tex-Mex cuisine and can be made with the same care and quality ingredients as fine dining. The menu spans chicken, beef, pork, fish, and vegetarian tacos built around international flavor profiles — think spicy tikka chicken, chimichurri steak, fried paneer, and quesa birria with birria consomé for dipping. Beyond tacos, we also serve Velvet Bowls, sides like queso blanco and elote, brisket nachos, house-made red velvet cake, and Kick Ass Margaritas. A Weekly Taco Feature (WTF) rotates a bold new taco every week. The 6th & Congress location is open late on weekends, until 4am on Fridays and Saturdays, and offers dine-in, pickup, delivery, and catering.

Velvet Taco slow-roasts their own chicken and corn in-house. Items are made from scratch, including a house-made waffle tortilla used on the Chicken & Waffle taco and a house-made red velvet cake. Blue corn chips served with dips are also house-made. The Kick Ass Margarita is made with Lunazul premium blanco tequila, orange liqueur, lime juice, and agave nectar. Gluten-friendly options are noted on the menu, though those items are cooked in the same area as items that may contain gluten. Tortilla swaps for lettuce wraps are available across taco orders.
