Wanda Farms is a family-owned farm started in 2018 by Joe and Hannah Wanda on 77 acres near Harvard, IL. The farm grew out of a 27-acre hobby farm Joe's parents purchased when he was young, with a mission to feed their family clean, nutrient-dense food. Joe holds an animal science degree and worked on organic and small family farms before returning to grow the operation into a business. Wanda Farms raises 100% grass-fed beef, pastured pork, chicken, turkey, and eggs, and also sells organs, bones, tallow products, and bundle boxes. Beef cattle are 100% grass-fed and grass-finished with no grains or grain byproducts ever fed. During grazing season, cattle are rotated daily to fresh pasture using rotational grazing; in winter, the farm stockpiles pasture and supplements with hay grown on their own fields. All livestock are raised without hormones, steroids, or routine antibiotics. When an animal falls ill, the farm takes a holistic, homeopathic-first approach, and therapeutic antibiotics are used only in life-threatening situations under veterinary guidance. Chickens and pigs are fed non-GMO grains free of glyphosate, and no animal byproducts are fed to any species on the farm. Meats contain no added nitrates, nitrites, MSG, or sugar, and are vacuum-sealed in BPA-free packaging. Beef is dry-aged 12 to 14 days at a local, family-owned USDA-inspected butcher facility. The farm follows regenerative practices, including rotational grazing, to restore soil health and increase biodiversity.
